Mt Talbot from Monkey Creek

It was a very exciting experience to arrive at this scene on a mid winter morning with frost on the ground. I had seen work by other artists done from a similar vantage point and had been waiting for the chance to visit this spot and paint there myself. A very cold day but I was rugged up well and had the whole valley to myself except for the distant drone of tour buses making their way to Milford Sound.
